Data and Business Intelligence: one truth for sell-in, sell-out and stock

We offer two things: ready-made, FMCG-specific reports inside Coll, and consulting for your existing BI environment. The source can be ERP, SFA, Qlik or Excel; even if the source changes, the reports stay the same.

The challenge

Three different numbers for the same question

In FMCG, sell-in comes from the ERP, sell-out from distributors and retail chains, stock from the warehouse and targets often from Excel. When every source has its own definitions and calendar, meetings are spent reconciling numbers instead of making decisions.

Month-end close is not as clear-cut as it seems either: because e-invoices can be issued with dates up to seven days in the past, closing a month takes a week, and if records that change in an already closed month go unnoticed, the gap between reports and incentives grows.

  • Sell-in, sell-out and stock are reported with different definitions.
  • Distributor and retail chain switches require reports to be corrected by hand.
  • Records that change in a closed month are not caught.
  • The executive report is prepared by hand every month.

Modules

From ready-made FMCG reports to enterprise BI architecture

Depending on your needs, you can start with the ready-made reports inside Coll, or we can strengthen your existing BI environment together.

01

Ready-made FMCG reports

Sales, stock, target and month-end close reports inside Coll; distributor and retail chain switches are handled automatically. Explore Coll.

02

Month-end close and targets

A month-end close that accounts for the e-invoice delay; records that change in a closed month are caught separately, and target and actuals are tracked under the same definitions.

03

Enterprise BI architecture

Consulting for your existing BI environment: data warehouse, governance, row-level security and self-service reporting.

04

Automatic executive reports with Gen AI

Executive reports are prepared automatically with generative AI; findings are summarised in everyday language.

Integrations

Technologies we work with

In enterprise BI projects we work on partner technologies and move forward while protecting your existing investment.

Power BI

Interactive dashboards, self-service reporting and row-level security.

Microsoft Fabric

Data warehouse, data integration and analytics on a single platform.

Qlik

Reporting for existing Qlik environments and use as a data source.

Alteryx · Azure

Data preparation, analytics workflows and cloud data infrastructure.

The source can be ERP, SFA (e.g. Repzone), Qlik or Excel; thanks to the shared data layer, even if the source changes, the reports stay the same.

How we work

Definitions first, then dashboards

  1. Step 1

    Current state

We review your sources, reports and KPI definitions.

  2. Step 2

    Data model

We set up shared definitions and the data model for sell-in, sell-out, stock and targets.

  3. Step 3

    Architecture

We design the data warehouse, governance and row-level security around your current platform.

  4. Step 4

    Reports

We roll out the ready-made FMCG reports and executive dashboards.

  5. Step 5

    Self-service

We provide training and governance rules so teams can build their own reports.

Frequently asked questions

Which BI platforms do you work with?

We work on Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Qlik, Alteryx and Azure. These are partner technologies; we move forward while protecting your existing BI investment.

What happens to our existing Qlik or Excel reports?

Qlik and Excel can continue to be used as sources. Thanks to the shared data layer, even if the source changes, the reports and definitions stay the same.

Why does month-end close take a week?

Because e-invoices can be issued with dates up to seven days in the past, closing a month takes a week. Our reports account for this and separately catch records that change in a closed month.

How are the Gen AI reports prepared?

Executive reports are written automatically with generative AI from the results in the data layer; findings and changes are summarised in everyday language.
